If you hold Bilt points — the rewards currency best known for letting renters earn points on housing payments — the first of the month just got more interesting. Bilt's monthly "Rent Day" promotion for 1 October 2026 pairs its usual double-points day with two transfer bonuses: up to 200% to Hilton Honors and up to 125% to Amtrak Guest Rewards, plus a Hilton status fast track.
First, the standing offer. On the first day of every month, all Bilt cards earn double rewards on purchases, capped at 1,000 bonus points. On the premium Palladium card that means 4x on everyday spending for the day, which makes it worth timing a grocery run or two for the 1st.
The headline extra is the Hilton transfer bonus, tiered by your Bilt elite status: 75% for Blue members, scaling up to 175% at Platinum, and 200% if you're Platinum and pay $200 in Bilt Cash to buy up one bonus tier. Anyone can buy up a tier — it costs $400 in Bilt Cash for the Amtrak offer. Transfers are capped at 100,000 Bilt points per bonus.
There's also a Hilton status challenge attached. Transfer any amount of points and you get instant Hilton Honors status through the end of the year: Silver for Blue and Silver Bilt members, Gold for Bilt Gold, and Diamond for Bilt Platinum. Hit the qualifying nights within 90 days — six nights for Gold from Silver, or 12 nights to reach or keep Diamond — and the status extends through the end of 2027.
The same day, Amtrak Guest Rewards transfers get a tiered bonus from 25% up to 100%, or 125% with the buy-up. This is arguably the stronger deal in value terms. Bilt points transfer to Amtrak at 2:1 normally, and with Amtrak points valued around 2.6 cents each, a 125% bonus works out to roughly 2.9 cents of value per Bilt point — impressive, assuming you actually ride trains in the US Northeast Corridor or beyond. The Hilton offer is decent but less thrilling: Hilton points are worth about 0.5 cents, so even a 200% bonus lands near 1.5 cents per Bilt point.
The window is short — Rent Day offers run from midnight ET to 11:59pm PT on 1 October, so roughly 27 hours. If you have a Hilton or Amtrak redemption in mind, it's worth deciding your transfer amount beforehand rather than scrambling on the day. Anyone without a use case should sit tight; Bilt runs a fresh promotion every month, and the double-points day repeats regardless.
For points enthusiasts and frequent Hilton or Amtrak users, this is one of the better Rent Days in a while — especially if you can stack the status fast track with stays you were planning anyway.
