Cincinnati's direct link to London is about to get a serious upgrade. British Airways has confirmed it will run daily nonstop flights between London Heathrow and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) during key stretches of the 2027 summer season — a step up from the five to six weekly flights it currently operates.
The daily schedule kicks in from 22 April through June 2027, then returns for a second daily run from 9 September to 28 October. Outside those windows, the route reverts to its usual five-to-six-times-a-week pattern. Flights are operated on BA's Boeing 787 fleet, with a flight time of around eight hours and 15 minutes. Return fares start from £617 including taxes and charges.
This route only launched in 2023, so the speed of its growth says a lot about demand. It remains the only nonstop connection between the UK and the Cincinnati region, and CVG Airport Board Chair Chad Summe pointed out that barely a year has passed since the service was bumped up to six days a week. Going daily, he noted, reflects strong demand and gives the region better access to the UK, Europe and beyond.
For UK travellers, the appeal is a genuinely easy entry point into the American Midwest. Cincinnati straddles the Ohio River, spilling into Northern Kentucky — a corner of the US where Midwest friendliness meets Southern charm.
