A million points is enough to make a serious dent in the trip of your dreams — and right now you can put your name in the hat for exactly that, while the money goes to a cause that's all about travel anyway.

The Points Guy has launched a new Charitybuzz campaign with Chase in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For a minimum donation of $15, entrants go into a sweepstakes drawing for the grand prize: 1 million Chase Ultimate Rewards points, plus a one-on-one trip-planning session with TPG founder Brian Kelly himself. Donations buy more entries, so a bigger gift means better odds.

There are perks beyond the top prize, too. Donors who give at certain levels can pick up extras such as a signed copy of Kelly's book "How to Win at Travel" or TPG-branded gear — luggage tags, hats, T-shirts and Yeti tumblers among them.

Every dollar raised supports Make-A-Wish, which has granted more than 650,000 wishes worldwide for children diagnosed with critical illnesses. A large share of those wishes involve travel, which is partly why TPG has kept coming back to the charity: the partnership dates to 2017.

The two have form on creative fundraising. In 2018, a Prizeo campaign offered 1 million airline miles as its grand prize. In 2022, TPG donated $1 to Make-A-Wish for every vote in the TPG Awards, adding up to $25,000, and followed up with a $20,000 donation the next year. Also in 2023, TPG and American Airlines flew 26 families to Walt Disney World on the "Best Flight Ever" — a JFK departure complete with a gate party, face painting, Mickey waffles, a red carpet to the jet bridge, and Brian Kelly working the cabin as "chief fun attendant" while Aladdin's Michael James Scott sang Disney songs in the aisle.

Most recently, in 2025, TPG and Chase raised $360,000 for the charity. This new sweepstakes is the next chapter of that relationship.

For travellers, the appeal is twofold. Ultimate Rewards points are among the most flexible currencies in the game — transferable to airline and hotel partners — so a million of them can translate into international business class seats, multiple family trips, or years of redemptions. And unlike paid sweepstakes entries, your money goes to a charity rather than a prize fund, with the standard caveat that a $15 donation buys an entry, not a win. If you've been meaning to give anyway, it's a tidy way to do it — with an outside shot at a life-changing points haul and some professional help spending it.
