Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort opens in December as Hyatt's first all-inclusive

Cancun is about to get a new points-friendly all-inclusive. Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort opens its doors in December 2026, and it's a double first: the Grand Hyatt brand's debut in Cancun and its first true all-inclusive property anywhere. Grupo Diestra owns the 500-room resort, which sits inside the gated Puerto Cancun community, about 25 minutes from Cancun International Airport.

The design leans into indoor-outdoor living. Every one of the 453 rooms and 47 suites comes with a furnished balcony looking over the marina or the Caribbean Sea, dressed in beige, taupe and pale blue. Suites can be upgraded with private pools or Grand Club lounge access, and local artists have left their mark on the property with an entryway installation and custom tiles.

There's plenty beyond the beach. The resort has nine outdoor pools (one adults-only), a Beach Club with snorkeling, diving, kayaking, windsurfing and paddleboarding, plus a fitness center and the Ritua Sanctuary Spa, which offers locally inspired treatments and a traditional Mesoamerican temazcal sweat lodge. Staff can also arrange sailing trips and archaeological excursions, and kids get their own dedicated Grand Kids Club. Food is a big draw: 14 outlets covering French, Northern Italian, Japanese, Argentine-Uruguayan fusion and Mexican favorites.

For Hyatt loyalists, the headline is the award pricing. As a Category-E all-inclusive, standard rooms go for 35,000 to 75,000 World of Hyatt points per night. Cash rates start at $382 nightly for one adult or $588 for two, and booking by September 30 scores up to 35% off paid stays of three or more nights between December 1, 2026 and March 31, 2027.

Why it matters: points-savvy travellers finally have a Grand Hyatt all-inclusive to redeem at, and winter-sun seekers get a fresh beachfront option with direct marina access, a golf course nearby and the Hotel Zone a short ride away. If you've been sitting on a pile of Hyatt points, this could be the easiest way yet to spend them in Cancun.
