Singapore Airlines has released a new round of KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes, its monthly promotion that knocks 30% off award tickets on selected routes. If you've been sitting on a pile of points and fancy one of the world's best airlines at a discount, this month's list is worth a look.

The deal covers economy, premium economy and business class redemptions, with bookings open through 30 September 2026 for travel during October 2026. The routes on offer are, unsurprisingly, the ones with spare seats — but that's exactly where the value sits. Sample one-way business class prices from Singapore include Bali, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Surabaya from 15,400 miles; Bangkok, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila and Phuket from 17,500 miles; Beijing, Shanghai, Chennai, Colombo and Dhaka from 31,500 miles; and Cairns from 50,400 miles. There's also Hangzhou from 24,850 miles.

The headline grabber for long-haul flyers: premium economy on Singapore to New York — the world's longest flight — for 59,150 miles one way. That's the only discounted premium option touching the United States this month, so travellers based stateside will find the pickings thin compared with the regional Asian deals.

A few catches to know before you book. Each route has its own restrictions, with some limited to specific flight numbers or dates, so read the fine print on the full list. More importantly, Spontaneous Escapes tickets can't be changed or cancelled once issued, breaking from standard KrisFlyer rules. Only book if your plans are locked in.

One structural advantage: Singapore Airlines keeps most premium cabin award space for its own KrisFlyer members, so these discounted seats often can't be booked with partner miles at all. If your points live with Amex Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Capital One or Citi ThankYou, you can transfer across easily. Air Canada Aeroplan is one of the few partners with occasional access to Singapore long-haul premium space, but for this promo you'll want a KrisFlyer balance.

For anyone hubbed in or passing through Southeast Asia, the short-haul business class prices are the standout — flat beds to Bangkok or Bali for well under 20,000 miles is hard to beat. For long-haul dreamers, the New York premium economy deal is a rare chance to try the ultra-long-haul route without business class mileage prices.
