Hilton Honors has opened registration for its third global promotion of 2026, and it's a modest one. Dubbed "More Points to Play," the offer adds 1,000 bonus points per stay — bumped to 3,000 points at luxury, lifestyle, resort and all-inclusive properties. Compared to the headline-grabbing double-points promos of years past, it's a small bump.
The details are simple. Stays between October 15 and December 31, 2026 qualify, and you need to check out by December 31. Registration is required before your first eligible stay, but bookings made in advance still count — so even if you've already locked in a winter trip, you can register now and still earn. There's no cap on how many times you can earn the bonus, and the first stay counts. All direct bookings with Hilton qualify, including award stays, which is genuinely useful: a one-night points redemption at a cheap property earns the same 1,000- or 3,000-point bonus as a paid stay.
How much is that actually worth? Not a lot. Valuing Hilton points at roughly half a cent each — a common ballpark — the bonus works out to about $5 per regular stay and $15 at the higher-earning categories. Points can take six to eight weeks to post, though they usually arrive faster. On its own, that's not enough to steer your bookings toward Hilton, especially given how heavily the program has devalued award redemptions in recent years. The promo's real value comes stacked on top of everything else: base members earn 10x points per dollar at most brands, Gold status adds an 80% bonus, Diamond adds 100%, and paying with a co-branded Hilton Amex can push earning to 7x–14x per dollar depending on the card.
So who should care? Anyone with Hilton stays already booked for late 2026 should register — it's free, takes a minute, and the points are effectively found money. Frequent travellers doing multiple short stays will accumulate the bonus faster than someone on one long trip, since it's per stay rather than per night. But if you're choosing between hotel chains purely on this promo, it's not the deciding factor. It's a perk to claim, not a reason to book.
