Willemstad is about to get a new kind of resort. The Pyrmont Curaçao Beach Resort, Autograph Collection All-Inclusive, is targeting a November opening, and it marks a notable addition to Marriott's fast-growing Caribbean all-inclusive lineup — with an adults-only twist.
The property has 305 rooms and sits in Curaçao's capital, right at the edge of the city's UNESCO World Heritage Site. What sets it apart from the typical beach-resort formula is its setting and design: the project folds in the restoration of two landmark 19th-century homes, so guests get a stay woven into the island's architectural history rather than a sealed-off enclave. The resort will run a full all-inclusive program, offer oceanfront suites, and feature multiple pools.
For Curaçao, this is part of a bigger wave. The island has become one of the Caribbean's quickest-growing resort markets, with another major all-inclusive opening earlier this year, and the Pyrmont joins the existing Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort to give the brand two properties on the island. Executive appointments are already in place, signalling the opening is in its final stretch.
Rates give a sense of where this sits in the market. A rate check for November 17 found a king room with a city view and balcony at $692 per night, while a one-bedroom oceanfront suite with a king bed was pricing at $1,528 per night. Those are opening-period figures and will likely shift, but they position the Pyrmond squarely in Curaçao's upper-end resort tier.
Who should care? Marriott Bonvoy members finally get an adults-only, all-inclusive point of loyalty-programme access on an island better known for boutique stays and dive resorts. Couples after a car-free holiday with walkable restaurants and colourful colonial streets nearby will find the Willemstad location hard to beat — most all-inclusives in the Caribbean sit far from any town worth strolling through.
