Wyndham Garden has two fresh reasons for travellers to add Türkiye to the list. The brand has just opened a second Antalya property — Wyndham Garden Antalya Konyaaltı — and is gearing up for its first Istanbul hotel, Wyndham Garden İstanbul Tuzla Marina, scheduled to welcome guests in October 2026.

The Antalya hotel opened in July in the Konyaaltı district, a smart spot for beach lovers: it sits 3 kilometres from Konyaaltı Beach, 8 kilometres from the old town of Kaleiçi, and 20 kilometres from Antalya Airport. There are 83 rooms, including family rooms, duplex suites and an accessible room, plus extended-stay units with kitchenettes and separate living areas. Amenities lean leisure-friendly — an outdoor pool, a spa with a Turkish bath and sauna, a gym, and a poolside terrace restaurant. Two meeting rooms holding up to 85 people also make it workable for small events.

Istanbul's entry is aimed at the Anatolian side of the city, an area often skipped by first-time visitors but increasingly busy with maritime, business and leisure activity. The 93-room Tuzla Marina hotel will be just 300 metres from Güzelyalı Marmaray station — a quick rail link into the rest of Istanbul — 12 kilometres from Sabiha Gökçen Airport, and a short drive from Viaport Marina and Tuzla Shipyard. Plans include three meeting rooms, another Turkish bath and sauna, and an international restaurant.

Both properties operate as franchises with local owners, part of a wider push by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, which already runs more than 130 hotels across nearly 50 Turkish cities under 11 brands — the largest hotel company in the country by property count. Over 40 more hotel projects are in the pipeline. The brand's other Turkish Wyndham Garden hotels sit in Antalya's Lara district, Ordu's Çambaşı and Diyarbakır.

Why it matters for travellers: Istanbul and Antalya both rank among the world's ten most-visited cities, so more internationally branded mid-range rooms in convenient locations means more choice — and more competitive prices — for visitors. The Antalya hotel suits families and longer summer stays, while the Tuzla property will appeal to business travellers and anyone flying through Sabiha Gökçen who wants to avoid the hassle of crossing to the European side. Wyndham Rewards members, a loyalty programme with over 126 million members, will be able to earn and redeem across both.
