Capital One's Venture Rewards card is currently carrying one of its most generous welcome offers to date: 75,000 bonus miles after you spend $4,000 in the first three months, plus a $300 credit to use on hotels and vacation rentals booked through Capital One Travel. The miles alone are the card's standard bonus — the credit is what makes this version stand out. According to The Points Guy's September 2026 valuations, the full package is worth around $1,688.

The card itself is built for simplicity. Every purchase earns at least 2 miles per dollar, with no bonus categories to track. Book car rentals, hotels or vacation rentals through Capital One Travel and that jumps to 5 miles per dollar. Hit the $4,000 minimum spend and you're looking at 83,000-plus miles in a few months before you've factored in any everyday spending.

What you do with those miles matters. The easy route is redeeming them at one cent each toward travel booked through Capital One Travel — handy for road trips, vacation homes or domestic flights. The higher-value play is transferring them to more than 15 partner airline and hotel programs, mostly at a 1:1 ratio. TPG highlights sweet spots like Air Canada Aeroplan and Air France-KLM Flying Blue, and points to one editor who moved 117,000 Capital One miles to Emirates Skywards to upgrade three people to first class at 39,000 miles each.

Before you apply, check the fine print. You can't earn this bonus if you've received a Venture Rewards welcome bonus in the past 48 months — and the clock runs from when the bonus posted, not when you were approved. Previous Venture X bonus earners are also likely locked out. Approval isn't guaranteed either way, so it's worth confirming eligibility before taking a hard credit pull.

On perks, the Venture Rewards sits below its premium sibling, the Venture X, but for a $95 annual fee you get up to $120 back on Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fees, car rental insurance, no foreign transaction fees, extended warranty protection and a concierge service. One thing to watch: use the $300 travel credit within your first cardholder year or you lose it.

Who's this for? Anyone about to book a decent chunk of travel — flights, hotels, a rental car — who wants a straightforward way to bank miles without juggling rotating categories. If you're new to points or just want one card that does a bit of everything, the current offer is a strong entry point. Frequent flyers already deep in a specific loyalty program may get more from a co-branded card, but the flexibility of transferable miles is hard to beat for open-ended trip planning.
