Members get 5% off base rates on "Pay Later" reservations across the US, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean, plus stored preferences for faster checkout and members-only offers. If you'd rather pay upfront, choosing "Pay Now" also knocks 5% off automatically — no code needed — and locks in the rate against future price rises, with the standard cancellation policy still applying.
Two groups get extra treatment. Active-duty military, veterans and federal government employees have a dedicated leisure-travel discount portal where savings apply automatically (bring a valid ID to the pickup counter). And early planners can use Plan Ahead Specials, which reward booking weeks or months out — typically for rentals within the US and Canada, and combinable with other codes.
The real trick is stacking. Alamo lets you combine discount codes, unlike many rental firms. Start with a corporate or membership code if you have one — AAA and Costco both offer Alamo discounts with perks like free additional drivers — then layer on deals from the Alamo offers tab, which often includes last-minute weekend specials.
