Singapore Airlines already sits near the top of most airline food rankings, but it's not resting there. The carrier has kicked off a major dining overhaul that will eventually put over 100 new or refreshed dishes on its menus — and yes, that includes economy.
The centrepiece is the new SIA Chefs' Selection, developed by the airline's in-house chefs alongside guest chefs and catering partners. The line-up mixes comfort-food classics, regional Asian favourites and reimagined versions of familiar dishes. Don't expect it all to appear on your next flight, though: the dishes are being phased in gradually, and the rollout has already started.
The upgrades go beyond what lands on your tray. New and refreshed menus come with reworked beverage lists, custom-designed serviceware and tweaked cabin crew service routines. According to Yeoh Phee Teik, the airline's Senior Vice President of Customer Experience, the project reviewed everything from seasonal ingredients and cooking techniques to presentation and drink selection, all guided by passenger feedback.
Premium cabins get the most attention, naturally. Suites and First Class passengers can look forward to distinctive presentation for selected dishes, and from November 2026, crew in those cabins will suggest drink pairings to match meal choices. New spirits arrive across all classes in that same wave, with new wines added for Suites, First and Business.
November 2026 matters for another reason: that's when Singapore Airlines will fully unveil its broader end-to-end travel experience revamp in Singapore. Dining is one pillar of it, alongside next-generation cabin products, an updated KrisWorld entertainment system, new amenities, high-speed connectivity and improved ground services.
For travellers, the practical takeaway is timing. If you're booking a long-haul flight on the airline in the coming months, you may already catch some of the new dishes, but the full package — drinks, serviceware and service flourishes — lands from November 2026. Anyone planning a premium redemption or a splurge fare in Suites or First would be smart to aim for after that reveal to get the complete experience. Economy passengers benefit too, which isn't always the case with airline upgrade programmes.
