Hyatt is going all-in on all-inclusive. On December 10, 2026, the 500-room Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort opens in Puerto Cancun — the brand's first all-inclusive property in the destination and one of the biggest luxury launches of Cancun's busy year.
The setting is the interesting part. Puerto Cancun is a gated marina community wedged between downtown Cancun and the Hotel Zone, roughly 25 minutes from the international airport. It's a quieter, more residential slice of the destination, with its own golf course, shops, restaurants and a working marina — the resort will use that last one to send guests out on yacht and sailing trips, reef dives, cenote visits and archaeological excursions. There's direct beach access plus a private beach club with its own restaurant and pool.
Inside, the numbers are hefty: 47 suites (some with private plunge pools), nine outdoor pools spread across multiple levels — including an adults-only one and an infinity pool — and a Grand Club lounge tier with continental breakfast and afternoon cocktails. Every room gets a private terrace facing either the Caribbean or the marina. Design-wise, look for an entrance installation by Teresa Solar and tilework from Mexican artist María Pizarro.
Food is the headline act. Fourteen dining and drinking concepts include Quattro (Northern Italian), Fiera San (sushi and omakase), Bistrot Cigalette (a French restaurant from chef Thierry Blouet), and Argentine-Uruguayan grills Chacho and Los Fuegos del Sur, alongside spots like Fiera Tacos, Grand Café & Market and Leonora's Boulevardier Bar & Terraza. That's a bigger roster than most of Cancun's newer luxury all-inclusives manage.
Wellness gets real estate too: the Ritua Sanctuary Spa has outdoor relaxation areas, a traditional temazcal, hammock lounges and a gym, while the water sports menu covers snorkeling, diving, kayaking, windsurfing and paddleboarding. Families get a Grand Kids Club; groups and weddings get nearly 30,000 square feet of single-level event space with an eight-section ballroom.
The Cancun opening lands just 12 days after the Nov. 28 debut of the 382-room Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Resort and Spa near Seven Mile Beach — two big Grand Hyatts in the Caribbean region inside a fortnight. Hyatt's Mexican Caribbean push is clearly accelerating: the freshly renovated Hyatt Zilara Cancun is back with 310 redesigned suites and a reservation-only speakeasy, and Secrets Mirabel recently brought swim-out rooms to the Hotel Zone.
