National Geographic Expeditions and G Adventures have rolled out 30 new or refreshed itineraries, with departures running through 2027 and 2028. Bookings are open now for early 2027.
The line-up splits into 24 new National Geographic Journeys and six updated Family Journeys, all built on the pair's combined strengths: Nat Geo's science and storytelling plus G Adventures' community-based travel model. Trips range from city breaks and vineyard tours to rainforest and wildlife-focused adventures.
The headline act is an eight-day Wildlife of the Galápagos Islands itinerary. Travellers meet the conservationists protecting the archipelago, spend time with researchers at the Charles Darwin Research Station, and take a naturalist-led boat excursion, with extras like snorkelling off an uninhabited island and a visit to an organic farm to learn about local crops.
Families get plenty to choose from. The nine-day Peru Family Journey, open to children aged seven and up, pairs a guided visit to Machu Picchu with Amazon time — think nocturnal wildlife spotting by night and stargazing through telescopes at the Cusco Planetarium. A 12-day Southeast Asia Family Journey runs from Hanoi to Siem Gempa Reap, taking in Ha Long Bay by boat, Vietnamese cooking classes and noodle-making, plus a circus-skills workshop with Phare, the famed Cambodian Circus, in Siem Reap.
Not everything requires a long-haul flight. A festive Christmas-market trip travels from Prague to Budapest via Český Krumlov and Bratislava, with a Vienna day trip, a Czech cooking class, a Danube dinner cruise and a chocolate-making workshop — with glühwein flowing along the way. Prefer wine without the mulled sort? An eight-day France tour links the Loire Valley and Bordeaux, featuring Château de Chenonceau with a local historian, plus tastings that run from the Cher river to the ancient catacombs of Saint-Émilion.
