Air France-KLM's Flying Blue has published its October 2026 Promo Rewards list, and there are some genuinely good fares hiding in it. The monthly deal knocks 25% off saver-level award tickets on Air France and KLM, bookable between 1 and 31 October 2026, for travel as far out as 31 March 2027.
The headline numbers: one-way business class between Europe and Seattle (on Air France) or Mexico City (on KLM) starts at 45,000 miles instead of the usual 60,000. Premium economy drops to 30,000 miles one-way to Las Vegas and Miami on Air France, or Austin and Chicago on KLM. Economy awards to Houston, Montreal, Ottawa, Raleigh, Boston, Calgary and Toronto start at just 18,750 miles one-way. Booking works in both directions, and you can connect beyond Paris or Amsterdam to anywhere in Europe on the same award.
One catch worth knowing before you transfer points: Flying Blue's entry-level pricing is now tied to a "Light" fare, which trims the perks. Long haul business class Light fares don't include lounge access or flexibility. Flying Blue Platinum members get most Standard-fare perks automatically, and they also see extra Promo Rewards inventory — including business class to Cancun and Orlando and premium economy to New York JFK at the same discounted levels. The paid Flying Blue Extra membership (from €379 a year) unlocks a second tier of extra Promo Rewards, so heavy redeemers may find it pays for itself.
The programme itself remains one of the easier ones to stock up on. Flying Blue is a transfer partner of Amex Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Citi ThankYou, Capital One and Bilt, sells miles directly, and runs a Subscribe to Miles scheme. It also tends to release more Air France and KLM award seats to its own members than you'll find through partner programmes, which is half the reason long haul business class redemptions here are so popular.
Two useful hacks if you're booking: Flying Blue's monthly calendar makes it much easier to spot the discounted dates, and children aged two to 12 get a further 25% off award tickets — which stacks with Promo Rewards pricing. There are also Promo Rewards beyond North America, including some business class options to South America, so it's worth scanning the full list before committing.
If you've had a transatlantic trip on your wishlist for winter or early spring, this is one of the cheaper windows to book it in miles — especially business class to Seattle, which is a rare route to appear in the promo at 45,000 miles one-way. Just make sure any flights are ticketed by 31 October 2026, since the discount only applies while the promotion is live.
