Getting from east Singapore to Johor Bahru usually means trekking out to Woodlands or Tuas first. WTS Travel has quietly changed that with a cross-border shuttle that picks up at Changi Airport, Tampines MRT and Punggol MRT before heading through Woodlands CIQ and across the Causeway to JB.
The route kicks off at Changi Airport Terminal 1, Bay D, then swings by Tampines MRT Exit B and Punggol MRT Exit C. After border clearance at Woodlands, the bus continues to JB CIQ and terminates at Taman Ungku Tun Aminah Bus Terminal (TUTA), a useful drop-off point in western JB. Buses leave every 90 minutes, with the first departure from Changi at 8am daily — though expect the schedule to wobble with Causeway traffic.
Fares are the main draw. From Punggol you're looking at $6 per adult and $4 per child all the way to TUTA; Tampines is $9/$6, and from Changi Airport it's $11/$7. There's a cheeky bonus for locals: the return direction costs even less, with rides from TUTA back to Singapore from RM15 (~S$4.70) for adults, and hops from Tampines or Punggol to Changi Airport costing just $3. Tickets can be booked via Klook or directly with WTS Travel.
For regulars who cross weekly, the season pass promo running until November 2026 is arguably the best deal. A 30-day pass is $150 (down from $450), a 14-day pass is $80, and a 7-day pass is $50. Each allows one round trip per day, working out to roughly $2.50–$3.60 per trip. The catch: there are no reserved seats or fixed timings on any ticket, and some riders report difficulty boarding at peak times. If a bus is full, you're permitted to stand.
Anyone living in Singapore's east or northeast — or flying into Changi and wanting to go straight to JB without a transfer — now has a one-seat ride that skips the usual pre-border commute entirely.
